Take a Test Swim
Adopting a data management system is a big commitment, and we want you to be confident that CE Breeze is right for you before you invest your time and money. This is why we have chosen to make a demo file available for your use. Play with it. Test it. Even use it alongside your current system for a few workshops to see how it works in your environment.

Step 1 - Review the Website
Before diving into demo file, take a look at the pages on this website.
  • Review the Modules page to gain an understanding of what modules are included and how each can be used.
  • Watch some of the Instructional Videos to gain an feel for the user interface.

Step 2 - Make Sure You Have FileMaker Pro 12 Installed
CE Breeze is built on the FileMaker Pro platform and requires a copy of the FileMaker Pro 12 application/program to run. (See Tech Specs for more information.)

If you already have a license for FileMaker Pro 12 and have it installed on your machine, you're good to go! If you have a license but do not have it installed on your machine, what are you waiting for?

If you do not have a license for FileMaker Pro 12, you can obtain a 30-day trial from FileMaker, Inc at:
http://info.filemaker.com/US-en-FMP-Trial-Form.html

Be sure to select the version (Mac or Windows) appropriate to your machine. Once you have obtained the trial's installer file from FileMaker, run the installer to install FileMaker Pro on your machine.

Step 3 - Put Your CE Breeze Demo File in Place

Use the link below to download your copy of the CE Breeze demo file. The file is compressed as a ZIP file. You will need to un-ZIP (expand) the file.

Create a folder on your Desktop, in your Documents/My Documents folder, or some other place where you have read/write access to hold the CE Breeze file. Move the expanded CEBreezeDemo.fmp12 file into this folder.

You can open the CEBreezeDemo.fmp12 file by double-clicking it. Alternately, you can launch FileMaker Pro 12 and open the file using File > Open.

The demo file has two active accounts - one of which is set up as a Standard User, and the other of which is set up as a System Administrator, allowing you to test both types. Log in using either of the following:

Account Name: demouser
Password: demouser

Account Name: demoadmin
Password: demoadmin

Step 4 - Test the Waters
Create a workshop. Create some people. Register those people for that workshop. Create a contract for the presenter. Generate a sign-in sheet, room sign, and nametags for the participants of the workshop. Record credit received and generate certificates for the participants. Create a PO to pay the presenter. Invoice the participants. Test anything and everything to determine if CE Breeze is a good fit for you.

Format and License Terms
CE Breeze is a FileMaker Pro 12 solution file with a fully-customized user interface. Both the user interface and data are stored within a single .fmp12 file.

CE Breeze will be licensed to you as a "starter solution". While we hope that CE Breeze will provide most of our clients with everything that they need out of the box (it was built to be highly flexible and customizable), using a "starter solution" license provides you with the extra flexibility to make any alterations or additions to the solution file as you see fit.

What You Receive
  • You will receive a copy of the file similar to demo file, but with records in the main modules removed. We will leave some demo data in the System Preferences, Supporting Modules, and Letters module for you to use as a reference.
  • The file will contain 2 existing accounts - the System Administrator account that you will use to create all other accounts, and a Developer (Full Access) account to be used should you choose to modify the database.

Restrictions on Copies and Users
  • The number of users you may have accessing the file is unrestricted. You pay the same flat rate whether you have one user accessing the file on his or her desktop, or a staff of 100 accessing the file hosted on a server.
  • Your license will allow you to have one (and only one) "live" copy of the file being used to manage real data. You may not have a separate copy, with separate records, running for another department, site, or entity, even if the files are run off of the same server or used by overlapping staff. If your organization has a need to maintain separate databases for different departments, sites, entities, or other divisions, each must have its own license in most cases. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
  • You are, however, encouraged to keep regular backups of your solution file. There is no limit to how many files you may maintain as historical backups of your live file.
  • You may also have a copy of the file in the hands of your internal or external developer for testing and development purposes. You must, however, hold such individuals under the restrictions of your license - making sure that they understand that they cannot redistribute the file, whether modified or unmodified, for free or for profit.

Redistribution
  • You may not distribute to another entity, for free or for profit, a copy of the CE Breeze solution file for that entity's use, no matter how much customization work you have done on the file.
  • If other agencies in your field are interested in using your modified copy of CE Breeze, contact us. They will be required to purchase a full license from us and to sign the licensing agreement. After that has happened, we will give you authorization to share your file with them, which will become their single allowed active file.

Modification and Maintenance
  • CE Breeze was designed to be flexible enough and customizable enough (within the user interface, using System Preferences, Supporting Modules, etc.) to meet the needs of many users out of the box and without the need to enter FileMaker's "Manage" area to modify the solution file. However, your license gives you the freedom to modify the solution file in any way that you see fit so that it best meets your needs. You will be given a "Full Access" account and password to allow you to make such modifications. You may use one of your internal staff members to make these modifications, you may hire an outside FileMaker Pro developer to make these modifications, or you may hire XMoose Solutions to make these modifications.
  • No strings attached. CE Breeze is currently being licensed as an unlocked starter solution and, as such, is provided "as is" for you to use as long as you like. There are no annual maintenance fees for you to pay, and there is no obligation for you to hire XMoose Solutions for continued modifications or support.
